Do you have a good story to tell? I will soon be putting out calls for speakers and thought of you first.

Prior to putting out my general call for speakers for the NZ Confex (August, Auckland) and the Premier Confex (October, Melbourne), I thought it would be good to offer the opportunity first to PASA CONNECT Members to put their hands up as potential speakers. Invariably there are people out there who have a good story to tell and who are keen to do so, however, it is hard for me to identify who they are. Speaking on conferences is great on your CV and also for your personal development.

So don’t be shy, put yourself forward!

I am particularly looking for examples this year where procurement has taken an unorthodox or novel approach to solving a particular problem or achieving a great outcome. Have you ever ripped up the rule book and done it differently? If so, what was the result?

Given timelines for production, I could really do with hearing from you for NZ by 18th May, and for Premier Confex in Melbourne by the end of May.

The other opportunity I will be looking at in the near future is for speakers for our ProcureTECH Brisbane event in November. If you have experience of making the business case, selecting and implementing procurement enabling technology and have learnings to draw from it (either good or bad), I would love to hear from you. This might be either as a presenter or panellist.

I trust this is of interest and look forward to hearing from you,
