Benefits Realisation and Tracking (Melb)

How do you we measure the value of the procurement contribution? Do you know how to measure the benefits you are realizing? Can you track them? What does your balanced scorecard look like?

Pretty much all procurement functions are still measured against what savings they are delivering. Yet these days, we would argue that the procurement value proposition should be far broader than merely saving money. What is the value of risk management, compliance and governance, or of driving innovation or revenue?

This session will explore what measures members are using to track the benefits they are delivering to the organisation, both hard and soft.

Typical examples of issues raised by participants at previous sessions are:

  • What tools are currently being used to evaluate performance in Procurement, and what where is it heading?
  • Challenge: how to sustain contribution?
  • Cost savings vs TCO vs. Cost avoidance? (what is legitimate to claim?)
  • Understanding the tools available for performance/contract management
  • Understand what should be measured and how to compare to peer companies when KPI's vary broadly across categories
  • And many more!

When registering please submit those issues that are top of mind for you in regard to performance measurement.
