CAPEX Procurement (RT 2) Sydney

This is the second CAPEX Procurement Round Table - all members welcome

Capex procurement can be very varied. We could be talking about equipment, machinery, buildings, major infrastructure projects? 

Each participant is likely to have quite specific issues/challenges in relation to Capex Procurement, therefore the agenda will largely be developed at the outset of the session. A good example of a specific issue raised before the first session was:

"Adding competitive tension for civil works tendering where a key player has a strong geographical advantage".

More generically the following aspects of Capex Procurement should be explored:

• What are the steps/stages of successful capex procurement?
• What does ‘best practice’ look like in each stage of Capex procurement?
• What levers can procurement influence to drive value?
• What tools/templates are participants using to assist with capex projects or elements of a project.
