Establishing a Social Procurement programme (Melb)

Organisations are coming under increasing pressure from their stakeholders to do good in the community. One way of doing this is through social procurement initiatives, where the spend can be used to assist the disadvantaged or provide other benefits to the local community. While most procurement leaders recognize this imperative, many are still struggling with how to get a social procurement programme up and running.

In this expert-led session, Mark Daniels, Executive Director at Social Traders, will facilitate a discussion on issues such as:

  •  What is social procurement?
  • What constitutes a social enterprise?
  • What areas of spend should you look at for opportunity?
  • What is the role of procurement in helping develop social enterprises?
  • What does best practice look like?

And more…

When registering for the session please nominate issues or questions that you would particularly like to discuss during the session.
