With modern slavery law now in place, both Federally and in NSW, procurement and supply chain teams are under pressure to ensure they have an appropriate programme to understand and meet their obligations. This round-table will cut through the discussion about what you 'might do', to address decisively what you 'need to do' to ensure you are compliant with Modern Slavery which is without doubt the most important Procurement issue at the moment, and will be for some time to come.
The round-table will be led by Scott Alden, Partner and National Head of Procurement at one of Australia's leading legal firms, Holding Redlich. In addition to his many years experience as a practicing lawyer, Scott is also a Part Time Lecturer and Course Developer - Contracting, Procurement and Probity, Masters of Law (LLM), at the College of Law and Melbourne University, as well as an accredited specialist in Government and Administrative Law (which includes tendering and procurement). Scott will be joined by Procurement Specialist lawyer Victoria Gordon.
