The role of P CARDS in your post-Covid procurement strategy (VIRTUAL)

September 8, 2020

Corporate credit cards, also known as purchasing cards or P Cards, have traditionally been viewed with some suspicion by Procurement Managers keen on control.

Yet, nowadays, the range of pre-programmed controls are greater than ever and can include parameters for spend limits, transaction ceilings, merchant choice, category spend, cost-code usage or even day-time of purchase.

So, why are they not used more by busy procurement managers with limited spend data? Indeed, using virtual cards or supplier-lodged cards can bring significant improvements in spend data, even to the point of supplementing your P2P system.

This session, hosted by VISA commercial cards, will outline all the pros & cons of P CARDS as well as explain some state-of-the-art ways of how best to use them.

Your expert presenter

Julian McInerney is the head of business solutions at VISA Commercial Cards based in Melbourne; prior to which he worked at NAB for ten years in digital/commercial partnerships. .
