For ICT procurement professionals who want to learn more about the management of cloud computing infrastructure and cost management. The FinOps framework helps identify what better practice looks like and how value for money can be ascertained.
The FinOps Foundation define it as – “an evolving cloud financial management discipline and cultural practice that enables organizations to get maximum business value by helping engineering, finance, technology and business teams to collaborate on data-driven spending decisions”.
Nicholas has been ahead of the curve in advising customers on the business opportunities and transformations associated with the use of cloud computing, and has spent the past 15 years helping customers adjust to these challenges via the use of agile, FinOps, and co-design approaches to procurement.
Nicholas has been twice awarded the Sir Rupert Hamer Records Management Award (2005 and 2011) for his work on the Victorian Electronic Records (VERS) Digital Archive project and Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission respectively.
"Successful delivery of ICT applications, infrastructure or other enablers, remains significantly dependent on an organisations relationship with its suppliers. Getting the most from these critical supplier partnerships requires careful reflection on the organisations strategic needs, the ability to clearly communicate them to the market, and the negotiation of contracts that enable delivery and embed continuous service improvement."
