Session held on 25th November 2021
About this session
Sustainability is getting much greater focus at
Board and Executive levels nowadays which presents a real opportunity to help
elevate Procurement's role within organisations.
By leveraging the International Standard for
Sustainable Procurement (ISO 20:400), Procurement Teams can help their organisations
to see the procurement function as more than just process, cost and risk
wardens. Procurement can play a key role in supporting organisations' emerging
expectations around social and environmental responsibility. More than that,
Procurement can play an important and meaningful role in improving our world!
In this presentation, Jo and Sharon will explain
from first principles:
1. Why
sustainable procurement is important and how organisations of any size or type
can benefit
2. What is
covered under the ISO 20:400 guidance Standard - with examples for each element
to both highlight risks and provide inspiration
3. Simple
tips on how to embed sustainable procurement and how to get started
4. Reasons
that you can share with your stakeholders as to why Procurement should take a
leadership role to help embed sustainability within your Organisations.
If you haven't had the opportunity to start a
sustainable procurement journey in your organisation, or you are struggling to
make a business case, or justify it as a priority, this session is very much
for you.
